IT IS VITAL TO US!

Important Points to Consider

  • This is a model program currently serving over 320 children in Broward. Funding would allow the providers the ability to sustain this program and to create 2 replication sites, one in Clay and one in Duval County.

  • This program will provide access to child care for all children. It focuses on additional help with life skills and includes all children, without regard to their disorder or affliction.

  • It will give parents the opportunity to continue to work so that they can provide their children with the vital intervention they require. Otherwise they must leave their job at 2:30 to come home and care for their children.

  • The program offers services throughout the summer and camp and social programs that provide inclusion with typical peers.

  • It gives our children the opportunity to make friends and provides us with the ability to continue to make a living.

  • The amount of the project is $700,000 and is being requested from the HHS budget.
